Healing rate: 14.3 mm2/day. Healing time: 103 days. Wound size: 49 × 30 × 3 mm. Age of wound when treatment started: ~ 3 months. Subject: 62/male. Non-insulin dependent diabetes, venous insufficiency, peripheral neuropathy, HTN, CHF, COPD, asthma.

Protocol
  • Patients were required to have a wound with no progress in at least 2 weeks under conventional treatment.
  • Patients were seen 1 to 2 times per week.
  • Debridement occurred at the initial visit, if required, and then limited there after.
  • MIRRAGEN® Advanced Wound Matrix was applied to the wound and covered with a cover dressing.
  • On subsequent visits, the MIRRAGEN® material was simply washed off with a sterile saline rinse to expose the wound for photos and measurements.
