Engineering for women: an exhibition to awaken vocations among the youngest

The Ateneo de Madrid hosts from December 18 to January 10, 2021 the exhibition "Ingenious Women: Engineering in Feminine". A sample of the most relevant women in the fields of engineering and technology, including Elena García Armada, founder of Marsi Bionics. This exhibition is part of the "Ingenious Women" project, an initiative promoted by professors and doctoral students from the ETSII (Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers) and professors from the Faculty of Education of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) Ciudad Real , which seeks to awaken vocations among girls and adolescents for careers related to engineering and technology, especially in relation to industrial engineering. research in the field of lasers and the third woman in history to win the Nobel Prize in Physics, after Marie Curie in 1903 and Maria Goeppert-Mayer in 1963. Thus, inventors, technologists or engineers come together in this exhibition to establish themselves as female references in the various disciplines encompassing engineering and technology.
