Overview
The Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD) was originally patented by the U.S. Navy as a safer, more efficient alternative to traditional hypoxia training. When it came time to commercialize and scale the prototype, the Navy partnered with Environics—recognizing their expertise in gas delivery and simulation systems. Together, they developed the ROBD2: a purpose-built solution that has since become the global standard for hypoxia recognition training in military aviation programs.
