Angiopoietin-related protein 7 (ANGPTL7), UniProt # O43827, is a 40kDa protein initially discovered in the cornea stromal layer. Increased levels have been observed in glaucoma and ANGPTL7 has been associated with various cancers including hepatic cancer metastasis. Studies have shown plasma levels are increased in obesity making it a potential therapeutic target.

Chromogranin A (CgA), UniProt # P10645, is a 439 amino acid member of the granin family of secretory proteins. Found in vesicles of neuroendocrine cells, CgA is considered a valuable marker for neuroendocrine tumors. CgA is a precursor to a number of biologically active peptides including vasostatin I, parastatin, and pancreastatin.

Chromogranin B (CgB) aka Secretogranin-1, Uniprot # P05060, is an acidic member of the granin family found in a variety of neurons and endocrine cells. CgB is a marker in neuroendocrine tumors with plasma levels potentially being associated with disease progression.
