Our PrecipHen is made from goat anti-chicken IgY antibodies covalently attached to agarose beads. It is designed for use with chicken antibodies in immunoprecipitation (IP), chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), and protein purification applications.

Our anti-mCherry chicken primary antibody from AvesLabs is manufactured in-house. It detects mCherry, dsRED, RFP (all tested) and tdTOMATO (by similarity) and is purified. It is provided in liquid form.

Three different antipeptide antibodies were generated in chickens against sequences shared between the rat (AAM28438) and human (AAL28094) gene products. Antibodies were affinity-purified and mixed in equal concentration. These antibodies have been validated with human, mouse and rat tissues.

Human Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) is a 49,749 dalton protein (432 amino acids) expressed by astrocytes of the central nervous system. GFAP is an intermediate filament protein and acts as an intra-cellular structural component of the astrocytic cytoskeleton. During embryonic and fetal life, GFAP is also expressed by radial glial cells of the CNS. Rare mutations of the GFAP gene in humans result in Alexander’s disease, one of the leukodystrophies.
