As the Covid-19 crisis has eased, the majority of our employees with disabilities are back on the job. In mid-May, the GOP Policy Committee of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives toured a number of businesses in our area, and we were pleased to be able to share our story with the legislators. Below is a brief video highlighting that official visit to our Ebensburg production facility. Special thanks to PA Rep Jim Rigby for allowing us to share this footage.
CAB, which stands for the Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped, provides job opportunities and services to persons with disabilities. Last March when Covid-19 struck, Pennsylvania’s governor decreed that all non-essential businesses in Pennsylvania must close. Fortunately CAB was deemed an essential business, however many of our employees with disabilities are among the most vulnerable, and that high-risk group was mandated to stay at home.
