Campden - Multi-Cell Slice Chamber for Electrophysiology and Biochemistry
The 7450 Multi-Cell Slice Chamber by Campden Instruments is engineered for advanced electrophysiological and biochemical research. This versatile system supports dual operational modes—Submerged and Interface—allowing flexibility for diverse laboratory settings. Constructed with acrylic (Perspex/Plexiglas) or PTFE (Teflon) materials, these chambers are robust and adaptable. Each cell chamber is removable, enhancing ease of maintenance and customization. The chambers include Ag/AgCl reference electrodes ideal for intricate tissue studies, while integrated micromanipulator-compatible layouts ensure precise electrode placements. Temperature control is finely tuned with a digital display heater/controller employing PID algorithms, achieving ±0.1°C stability in the water bath. Notably, the system's design accommodates seamless expansion from standalone units to fully automated setups in electrophysiological workstations like the Synchroslice, catering specifically to hippocampal and cardiac tissues. Overall, the 7450 system is a pivotal tool for laboratories requiring precision and adaptability in slice preparation and analysis.
