The auscultation training manikin SAM 3G® was developed to be simple and easy to operate. Out of the box, SAM 3G® can be connected and set to teach the desired cardiac, lung, bowel or bruit sounds. Cardionics has designed SAM 3G® to create a straightforward yet memorable auscultation training experience, while completely eliminating the frustration of incorporating complicated educational tools in the classroom. Apart from teaching auscultation skills to the entire class, students can also practice their hands-on skills in self-study with SAM 3G® torso without supervision.

The Bionic Hybrid Simulator™ from Cardionics is a wearable simulation system for Standardized Patients which offers instructors a realistic and accurate solution for scenario simulations. The innovative approach of wearable simulation in patient care enables them to test their students’ skills without giving away signs and symptoms, while they practice the bedside interactions with a Standardized Patient. Most importantly, student engagement grows as they build confidence in their clinical skills. With ECG, pulse points, the SimBP™ Simulator for Blood Pressure and auscultation of the heart, lungs and bowel, the BHS™ provides extensive training capabilities for Standardized Patient simulation. Instructors can control normal and abnormal conditions from a set of available parameters in real time. The BHS™ allows students to interact with a live patient while assessing signs and symptoms independently.

Cardionics has designed SAM II® to create a straightforward yet memorable auscultation training experience, while completely eliminating the frustration of incorporating complicated educational tools in the classroom. Apart from teaching auscultation skills to the entire class, students can also practice their hands-on skills in self-study with SAM II® torso without supervision.

The SAM Basic® auscultation training manikin has been developed to teach and train adult auscultation as an essential clinical skill needed to assess heart, lung, bowel and bruit conditions. In combination with SimScope®, an electronic simulation-training stethoscope, students can train the recognition of auscultation sounds associated with various disorders. With one of the largest auscultation sound libraries available and easy-to-use software, SAM Basic® gives students and educators everything they need to actively engage in auscultation education and hands-on training. The included SimScope® stethoscope allows to auscultate the SAM® torso and enables wireless communication with the controller tablet (optional purchase). By accessing the auscultation software, educators can pick any sound from the large Cardionics auscultation library and change the parameters on-the-fly.

The SimulScope® Bedside Auscultation System allows physicians and students the ability to hear and share live physiological sounds with up to 20 people at the same time. This provides less intrusion to the patient, as only one stethoscope is needed to actively auscultate. The SimulScope® is also an effective teaching tool in the simulation lab or classroom, as it can be used with other simulators and training manikins, such as the SAM II® and SAM 3G® Student Auscultation Manikins or PAT® the Pediatric Auscultation Trainer by Cardionics. Additionally, it can be used for sending and receiving auscultation sounds over various Telemedicine systems.
