Multiple-bag aliquot systems are designed to facilitate the collection, storage, processing, transport, separation, and administration of blood and blood components for neonatal or pediatric transfusion. Platelet component aliquots must be administered to a patient within 4 hours.

Blood transfer bags permit the sterile transport and storage of blood components. Constructed of PVC, they are available in a range of sizes and configurations.
