Convergys - POC RT-PCR COVID-19 Detection Kit
Convergys® POC RT-PCR COVID-19 Detection Kit.m for use with the Convergys® POC RT-PCR Nucleic Acid Detection System. The COVID-19 respiratory disease is caused by infection with the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The symptoms of COVID-19 are quite unspecific and resemble e.g. those of Influenza. Furthermore, in many cases the manifestation of symptoms is very weak. Hence, proper diagnosis of COVID-19 can be a challenge. The Convergys® POC RT-PCR COVID-19 Detection Kit directly detects SARS-CoV-2 genetic material.
COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test
The Convergys® COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is designed for the direct testing for acute COVID-19 infections. The rapid chromatographic immunoassay detects the Nucleocapsid protein of SARS-CoV-2, the pathogen causing the COVID-19 disease. Results are available in 15 minutes. The test kit works with nasopharyngeal and nasal patient swabs and includes all required materials for collecting the sample and doing the test. It can be stored at room temperature and the shelf life is 24 months. The Convergys® COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is offically listed by the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM ID: AT498/20).
