.decimal range compensators are available in acrylic (p ~1.17) or wax (p ~0.92). They are vendor-specific and can be machined with either a smooth or plunged surface. Smooth range comps have a less complex surface allowing more accurate modeling in TPS for better “Plan = Actual”. Wax compensators have several advantages too. They are less expensive, have recycled value, are easier and faster to manufacture, and the lower density gives improved range sensitivity.

.decimal offers patient-specific proton apertures and are made from high-grade domestic brass. Whether your needs are patient-specific or prepped blanks for in-house machining. .decimal patient-specific apertures can be beam divergent corrected if required. Our patented shell and core design cut down brass consumption by utilizing reusable stainless steel shells and smaller brass inserts suitable for smaller openings.
