Absorbable Sutures

DemeGUT - Surgical Gut Suture

Surgical Gut suture is an absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from the serosal layer of beef (bovine) intestines. The chromic gut contains a chromic salt solution to delay absorption. Surgical gut suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.) for absorbable surgical sutures. Surgical gut (Plain and Chromic) is indicated for use in general, soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures.

DemeGUT PLAIN - Surgical Gut Plain Suture

Surgical Gut Plain suture is an absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from the serosal layer of beef (bovine) intestines. Surgical gut suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.) for absorbable surgical sutures. DemeCRYL - Synthetic Absorbable, Sterile, Surgical Suture

DemeTECH’s Polyglactin 910 suture is a synthetic absorbable, sterile, surgical suture composed of copolymers made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Polyglactin 910 suture is available in violet or colorless from sizes: USP 8-0 to USP 2. Polyglactin 910 meets all the requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) for Synthetic Absorbable Surgical Sutures (except for an occasional oversize in some gauges).

Non Absorbable Sutures

DemeFORCE - Non-Absorbable, Sterile, Surgical Suture

DemeTECH DemeFORCE UHMWPE Suture is a nonabsorbable, sterile, surgical suture composed of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), or a polyblend of UHMWPE and polyester. It is prepared from fibers of high-molecular weight, long-chain linear having recurrent aromatic rings as an integral component. The White/Green sutures with or without attached needles meet FDA requirements for exempt color additives for UHMWPE sutures. The product is available in several suture lengths and attached needle types. DemeFORCE UHMWPE Suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for Nonabsorbable Surgical Sutures.

DemeTECH - Nonabsorbable Nylon Suture

DemeTECH Nonabsorbable Nylon Suture is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6. The monofilament or multifilament polyamide sutures with attached needles are available in black and blue dyed with FDA listed dye (s). Attached needles types offered include curved and straight needles, with several lengths, gauges and needle shapes and several suture lengths. DemeTECH Nonabsorbable Nylon Suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia for nonabsorbable polyamide surgical sutures.
