Cardiac Navigation System catheter-based navigation for cardiac surgery. The ERGOSURG Cardiac Navigation System supports the surgeons’ spatial understanding during catheter-based minimally invasive cardiac surgeries and is based on a tracked navigation mandrin inserted into supported standard catheters or a direct optical tracking of supported standard guidewires/catheters. It visualizes the position and orientation of theses compatible standard catheters in preoperative planning data and/or intraoperative image data of the patient. The system is intended as a further aid to surgeons between the X-rays taken at regular intervals and therefore it can be easily integrated into the surgical setup and its workflow.
