The World Health Organization declares poor eyesight among the main risk factors for road accidents⁽¹⁾. From April 2020, good vision for all road users in the world is officially part of the United Nations’ recommendations for safe mobility⁽²⁾ to be included in the National Road Safety Policies in all countries.
