IFEMA - Feria de Madrid news

This biennial congress comes to Madrid as the Spanish Professor Julio Acero occupies the Presidency of the Association, and it expects to host more than 2.000 attendees from 70 countries.

This edition will mean the return to the face-to-face format after the last appointment of the Congress, celebrated in Munich in 2018, and the virtual edition celebrated last summer after the impossibility of holding it in person in Paris in 2020.

The annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes expects to maintain for its 60th edition the participation level of previous years, in which around 15,000 diabetologists and diabetes experts from 130 countries attended.

The scientific programme will feature more than 1,200 sessions on the latest results in diabetes research by leading experts in the field. The congress will also include an hybrid component as has been customary since its 2018 edition.
