This unique U-arm system configuration enables technologists to easily capture images that have been typically difficult to obtain or uncomfortable for the patient. By positioning the stand, and not the patient, workflow improvements and throughput benefits are achieved. The 1600 Plus is a complete DR solution with a floor mounted, U-arm multi-axis positioning device that includes the X-ray tube, collimator and generator all with a compact and clean footprint allowing for it to be installed in various locations.

The newly branded Aquarius8600 flat panel technology, in both Cesium Iodide (CsI) and Gadolinium Oxysulfide (GdOS), is offered in addition to IDC’s X-Series CCD-based DR technology platform. These panels are available in a fixed 17” x 17” format for the CsI and GdOS platforms and a portable (14” x 17”) option is available in CsI (only) at this time. Additionally, the Magellan proprietary image processing software, well recognized by IDC customers globally for its ease-of-use and performance, completes each digital imaging solution in IDC’s strong digital radiography technology portfolio. The flat panel technology greatly differs in composition from IDC CCD-based technology and its performance, high image quality, and easy retrofit in existing X-ray rooms, make it a beneficial solution for global IDC customers specifically in countries where CCD technology may not be an option.

Each IDC imaging detector consists of three major components: Scintillator; Very high density Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera; Optical coupling system.
