Imedos - Static Vessel Analysis
The static vessel analysis offers an innovative solution for the evaluation of the state of blood vessels. It is designed for use in research and provides important parameters and information about the risk of subjects for cardiovascular diseases and events (e.g. heart attack and stroke), diabetes mellitus and obesity, as well as for ocular circulatory disorders. The software is applicable for a wide range of typical fundus camera systems.
Imedos - Dynamic Vessel Analysis
The aim of dynamic vascular analysis (DVA) is to examine the condition and function of the retinal vessels by measuring their diameter. We measure the vessel diameters because they are the actuators of autoregulation and reflect regulatory effects.
With DVA, you can continuously measure these vessel diameters over time at a rate of 25 values per second and stimulate the microcirculation in any way you wish during this measurement. Stimuli such as light stimuli (flickering light), various respiratory gases, isometric exercises, etc. can be used.
The examination is performed non-invasively and under real-time conditions and is completely painless. The standard application of the DVA is the investigation of the microvascular dysfunction (MVD), which plays a vital part in many microcirculation disorders as well as vascular diseases in various organs.
