Standard / Tumour Prosthetics - Pelvis and Hip Endoprosthetics
BethaLoc - Hip Stem System
The BethaLoc® hip stem is made of implatan® titanium alloy (TiAl6V4) and is available in a standard and lateralised offset version, each with a CCD angle of 130°. Rotational stability and osseointegration are improved by the longitudinal grooves on the entire stem. The proximal two-thirds of the stem are coated with hydroxyapatite (HA) to support the osseointegration.
AJS - Hip Stem System
The AJS® hip stem system features a complete range of cementless and cemented implants for primary arthroplasty. Because they are shaped to very closely fit the proximal endosteal femoral geometry of European patients, the AJS® stem gives outstanding primary stability via an immediate tight fit. The lateral shoulder of the prosthesis fills the medullary cavity in a way that blood loss is minimised. The CCD-angle is 132°.
Actinia - Hip Stem System
The Actinia® Hip Stem System features a complete range of cementless and cemented options designed for primary arthroplasty. In addition to standard stems the system offers stems with lateralised neck / offset geometry. Horizontal and vertical ribs improve axial and rotational stability and increase the contact area between prosthesis and bone. The tapered and trapezoidal cross-sectional geometries provides secure primary stability. An increased range of motion is created by a flattened AP neck geometry.
Aida - Short Stem System
The Aida® short stem is designed to provide metaphyseal-only cementless anchorage within the spongiosa of the proximal femur. It is proximally supported at the calcar as well as laterally via the distal tip. Axial and rotational stability also arise from the tapered and trapezoidal cross-sectional geometries. The prosthesis has a circumferential proximal microporous coating, consisting of commercially pure titanium (cpTi) and hydroxyapatite (HA), proximally for secondary osseointegration. The Aida® short stem is highly polished distally, hence load transmission can only occur in the proximal area as no fixation can occur distally.
Bicana - Hip Stem System
The Bicana® hip stem system is an anatomical, cemented system with an extensive collar (orientated at 45° to the femoral axis) which encourages physiological proximal load transmission. The anatomical s-shaped geometry ensures additional stability. A physiological / anatomical anteversion of 5° is built into the head-neck area of the stem.
