High-viscosity coating solution formulated for small-diameter parts. The higher viscosity of the coating solution allows for better surface coating dynamics on the smallest of pieces. This coating solution can be used as a single coat or a double coat for guidewires and other medical devices with very small diameters.

PhotoPrime SR enables over 90% reduction in frictional force on difficult-to-coat substrates such as PEEK, Polyimide, and Silicone. These substrates have low surface energy and are strongly hydrophobic; hence, they do not hold a lubricious coating easily. Conventional high-lubricity technologies typically achieve a coefficient of friction (CoF) from 0.25 to 0.45 on these substrates. PhotoPrime SR allows a durable hydrophilic coating to be applied and achieve coefficients of friction less than 0.02, as shown in the graphs below.
