This is the Medfix® Metrx® style disc preparation instrument set. Medfix now offers the ideal instrument system configuration for minimally invasive disc preparation. The VISION MDS instrument set can be employed for use in the following types of procedures: Discectomy, Laminectomy,Lumabr Stenosis, MIS PLIF, MIS TLIF, Cervical Formaniotomy, and Pedicle Screws. The VISION MDS instrument set can also be seamlessly paired with our modular VISION Tubular retractor sets. The Medfix modular platform allows for each of our VISION systems to be customized to a specific surgeon’s needs.

Medfix VISION MIS Lumbar Retractor Systems: Anodized aluminum blades provide a higher degree of radiolucency compared to stainless steel or titanium. All MIS blades have two light cable pathways. Our configurations come with a light cable and a light source designed to work seamlessly with our system. Dilators are color anodized for easy intra-operative size identification. Pivoting retractor arms allow the blades to be adjusted as much as a 30 degree toe out. Beveled blades conform to the spine’s anatomy. 2, 3 and 4 blade retraction options are available. All components, including sterilization trays, are made in the United States.
