Manufacture & Assembly
As a medical device manufacturing company (CMO), the experts at Mi3 support the design and manufacture of your medical devices, equipment and other medical products. Our purpose built assembly clean-room facilities ensure all medical device manufacturing and medical device assembly is validated and approved to Class 7. Mi3’s clean room facilities: Our clean room is designed for precision medical device, IVD and other medical product assembly. Additional manual and automated packaging equipment situated within the clean rooms as well as in-line testing capabilities of critical medical devices offers our customers an all-encompassing medical equipment manufacturing service for single components through to complex multipart assemblies. A second class 8 clean room is available for extrusion of medical grade plastic tubes used when manufacturing medical devices, as well as the injection moulding of components and devices and ultrasonic welding.
Cleanroom Medical Tube Extrusion
At Mi3, we can provide clean room medical tube extrusion of medical grade thermoplastic tubing according to your requirements. We utilise the best medical grade tubing and medical extrusion technologies so that we can tailor the material, size, hardness and colour to your specific device needs. Medical devices are becoming increasingly complex with requirements for high precision components – including extruded tubing parts. An extensive range of materials with an array of different properties are available for medical tube extrusion, so much so the choice can be baffling. At Mi3, we are able to advise and support our partners with the most suitable choice of tubing for their application. We work with them to determine the required specifications, such as the inner diameter /outer diameter (ID/OD) requirements, wall thickness, length, biocompatibility and non-toxicity including DEHP free tubing options.
Injection Moulding

Ultrasonic Welding
For joining complex injection moulded plastic medical parts, ultrasonic welding is an ideal solution. At Mi3, we offer the very best in ultrasonic welding – from equipment to technique – ensuring your device meets and exceeds both quality and cost requirements. Ultrasonic welding is particularly well suited for bonding medical devices since it uses the device material itself to form the bond. Hence, it does not introduce any glue or adhesive into the device that could form toxicity issues. Ultrasonic welding is a fast, clean, efficient and repeatable process. At Mi3, our technical team work with you closely to select a material suitable for your device that is readily weldable. We can help with developing the joint and optimising the welding process to ensure the process is controlled from start to finish.
