Oasis Diagnostics Corporation offers 2 kits for the detection of Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The  CF StripAssay is a cost effective tool for identifying gene mutations indicative of the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR). The CF StripAssay TUR is a kit that specifically identifies mutations present in the Turkish population.

RNAPro•SAL was developed as an easy to use and cost effective tool for the split sample collection of rich sources of RNA miRNA, mRNA and proteins  found in saliva. The proprietary RNAPro•SAL kit provides two equivalent samples of saliva which total 1.0 mL of saliva in 1-3 minutes. These may be analyzed later for either RNA or protein components. A unique built in Sample Volume Adequacy Indicator [SVAI] provides a visual indication that an adequate quantity of sample has been collected for downstream analysis.

SimplOFy™ is a new kit for the standardized collection of 2.0 mL of whole saliva in the simplest way possible. The sample is immediately preserved by a dried stabilizing solution coated to the inside of the tube cap, which stabilizes DNA upon contact. The 12 x 75 mm tube is directly amenable to automation, so throughput can be high for extraction and subsequent analysis. Stability testing on the sample collected and stabilized in the SimplOFy™ Saliva Collection Kit is ongoing, but data shows a minimum of ten months shelf life on the collected specimen, providing peace of mind that after collection the integrity of the DNA in the sample is preserved for long periods of time.

The Super•SAL™ Saliva Collection Kit works by collection of saliva from the pool of saliva that collects in the mouth by means of a highly absorbent cylindrical-shaped pad. The Super•SAL™ is intended as a high volume saliva collector [> 1.0 mL] providing a “clean” saliva specimen in approximately 1-3 minutes. The kit has a sample volume adequacy indicator that provides an indication of when sufficient saliva has been collected. Once the sample volume adequacy indicator changes from yellow to blue showing sufficient sample has been collected saliva is separated by compressing the absorbent pad used to collect the sample through a compression chamber into a standard 2mL Eppendorf tube or 1.5 mL microfuge tube. The sample may be used immediately, stabilized for later analysis or sent to a laboratory for subsequent analysis.

DNA•SAL™ is a revolutionary salivary DNA collection kit used for the collection of DNA from saliva. The device abrades cells and saliva in the mouth via a series of serrated edges resulting in the accumulation of a mixture of oral fluids (saliva) and cells that are trapped in an array of voids on the plastic body of the DNA•SAL™ device. The DNA•SAL™ is removed from the mouth and held while a small quantity of a safe rinse solution is taken, “swished” around in the mouth for a few seconds, then transferred by spitting back into the original sample tube. The collection head of the DNA•SAL™ tool is then detached from the handle into the transport tube containing the sample and rinse solution then immediately processed or sent to a laboratory where pure DNA can be extracted.
