Operon - Simple / Stick Norovirus Rapid Test Kit
One-step immunochromatographic test for the differential detection of Norovirus Genogroups I and II in human faeces. Noroviruses are a type of single-stranded, positive-sense RNA viruses belonging to the family Caliciviridae. They are highly contagious viruses whose main routes of transmission are: person-to-person contact and through contaminated food/water (in the U.S. is estimated that they account for 50% of gastrointestinal outbreaks by food poisoning). They often cause large outbreaks in closed communities in a variety of environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, kindergarten, restaurants, cruises,… where, once the virus has been introduced, the infection spreads very quickly.
Operon - Simple Rotavirus-Adenovirus-Norovirus Rapid Test Kit
Operon - Simple / Stick Rotavirus Rapid Test Kit
One-step immunochromatographic test for the detection of Rotavirus in stool samples. Rotaviruses are one of the main causes of acute gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis from enteric viruses can be mortal in risk populations such as children, the elderly or immunosuppressed individuals. With an incubation period of 1-3 days, infection is via the fecal-oral route. Characteristic symptoms are vomiting, watery diarrhea at 3-8 days, fever and abdominal pain. Immunization following the initial infection is incomplete, although later infections tend to be less severe than the first.
Operon - Simple / Stick Rotavirus-Adenovirus Rapid Test Kit
One-step immunochromatographic test for the simultaneous detection of Rotavirus and Adenovirus in feces. Rotaviruses are one of the main causes of acute gastroenteritis, particularly in children under two years of age. Transmission occurs through the fecal-oral route; the incubation period is between 1 and 3 days. Adenoviruses are the second leading cause of viral gastroenteritis in children (10-15%); they can also cause respiratory diseases and depending on the serotype, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, cystitis, and others. The main clinical symptom of gastroenteritis caused byadenovirusis diarrhea, for 9 to 12 days, also occurring with fever and vomiting.
Operon - Simple / Stick GDH – Glutamate Dehydrogenase from C.difficile Rapid Test Kit
A positive signal in the test indicates the presence ofC.difficilein the stool sample. Subsequent analysis of the sample with a test for detectingC.difficiletoxins (such as our 2A-Bdiff test) confirms whether the strain is toxigenic and, therefore, pathogenic and disease-causing. Some of the leading healthcare societies propose the use of a two-step protocol for identifying toxigenicC.difficileinvolving an initial screening of the sample with a GDH test and, if the result is positive, use of a second test to detect toxins fromC.difficileas not all strains of this microorganism produce them. OPERON offers the possibility of following this protocol using its GDH and 2A-Bdiff tests.
