Titan-Port AS/PT (Ascites and peritoneal therapy) is a fully implantable port catheter system providing an access facility to the peritoneal space. The set contains a titanium port chamber with a self-sealing silicone membrane and a single-lumen silicone catheter for connection to the port chamber and fixing to the outlet tube with a screw. Each system also includes a special puncture needle, an introducer set, a tunnelizer, instructions for use and an implant card. The silicone catheter 14.5 F (outer diameter of 4.9 mm, a total length 600 mm and priming volume of 0.59 ml/10cm) has lateral holes and is rolled about approx. 12 cm at the proximal end. It has a round tip and if necessary the catheter can also be shortened at the distal (unperforated) end.

TITAN-PORT APH (exctracorporeal apheresis) is a fully implantable port catheter system providing an access facility for performing extracorporeal apheresis. The set contains a titanium port chamber with a self-sealing silicone membrane and a single-lumen polyurethane catheter for connection to the port chamber and fixing to the outlet tube with a screw. Each system also includes a special puncture needle SFN 1835 B, an introducer set, a tunnelizer, a vein lifter, a rinsing needle, a port cannulae SFN 0930 G, user instructions and an implant card. The single-lumen polyurethane catheter (10 F, with an outer diameter 3.35 mm, an inner diameter 2.0 mm, total length 70 cm and internal volume of 0.31 mL per 10 cm) has at the distal end a fishmouth tip. If necessary the catheter can be shortened at the proximal end. After implantation, the distal tip reduces adsorption at the vessel wall, thereby also improving the flow rate.

The TITAN-PORT DR (drainage) is a fully implantable port catheter system providing an access facility to the pleura cavity. The set contains a titanium port chamber with a self-sealing silicone membrane and a single-lumen polyurethane catheter for connection to the port chamber and fixing to the outlet tube with a screw. Each system also includes a port cannulae SFN 0930 G, a special puncture needle SFN 1835 B, an introducer set (consisting of an 18 G introducer, an 11 F introducer peel-away and a 0.89 mm guidewire), a tunnelizer, a vein lifter, a rinsing needle, user instructions and an implant card. The single-lumen polyurethane catheter 10 F (outer diameter 3.4 mm, an inner diameter 2.0 mm, total length 72 cm and internal volume of 0.31 mL per 10 cm) has at the proximal end a fishmouth tip and ten sideholes. If necessary the catheter can be shortened at the distal end.

TITAN-PORT V are totally implantable port catheter systems for venous implantation. They consist out of a titan chamber (port), a screw closure mechanism, a self-sealing silicone membrane and a catheter. Each system includes a 20 G access needle, a rinsing needle, a vein lifter, the instruction for use, a patient care guide and an implant card. If the port catheter system is a complete set (recognisable by the suffix “SET” at the end of the article number), it also includes a special puncture cannula SFN 0925 S, a tunnelizer and a matching introducer set (e.g., for implantation using the Seldinger technique). The port catheter systems are placed on market as a procedure pack with difference in size of the port chamber, material and size of the catheter and an matching introducer set. The choice of size depends on the patient’s anatomy, the type of application, etc., and is at the discretion of the doctor.
