Paclitaxel (sold under trade name Taxol® by Bristol-Myers Squibb) is a very effective plant-derived chemotherapy drug used to treat breast, ovarian, lung, bladder, prostate, melanoma, esophageal, as well as other types of solid tumor cancers. It has also been used to treat Kaposi’s sarcoma.
