Precision - Cortical Interface Microelectrode Array
The Layer 7 Cortical Interface by Precision is an advanced microelectrode array system designed to interface with the brain's cortical surface for brain-computer interface (BCI) applications. This system is comprised of thin film microelectrode arrays engineered for a minimally invasive implantation that conforms to the brain's surface without causing tissue damage. Utilizing a patented insertion method, the array boasts thousands of channels that can be strategically placed across the brain's cortex. Designed for flexibility and modular scalability, these arrays allow for reversible surgeries that are both fast and precise. With each array containing 1024 electrodes, ranging from 50 to 380 microns in diameter, the device enables both recording and stimulation of neural data with high resolution akin to transitioning from a standard to high-definition visual experience. Furthermore, the system incorporates machine learning algorithms to translate neural signals into computable data, offering bidirectional interfacing capabilities. Currently, this investigational device is not available for sale in the United States.
