Microfabrication Facility for Medical Devices
Precision BioMEMS, a subsidiary of Precision Neuroscience, manages a large micro-electrical mechanical systems (MEMS) fabrication facility specializing in medical devices. This 22,000 square foot facility in Addison, Texas features an ISO class 5 cleanroom and is fitted with advanced tools for the production of biocompatible microelectrode arrays. The company employs photolithography and other MEMS techniques to develop over 1,000 channel polyimide-based neural implants in-house, ensuring strict quality control and fast technological advancements. Precision BioMEMS also offers foundry services to innovative companies in medical diagnostics and micro mechanical sensing, contributing decades of experience in R&D and large-scale production. Their capabilities include PECVD film application, lithography, polymer film expertise, wet and dry etch processes, and metallization using biocompatible metals. With a focus on cutting-edge methods, capable staff, and extensive inspection and post-processing practices, Precision BioMEMS leads the way in advancing medical MEMS technology.
In-House Manufacturing Services
Precision uses photolithography and other MEMS manufacturing techniques to pattern our 1,000+ channel polyimide-based neural implants. Performing this specialized manufacturing in-house allows Precision to control the production and quality of the most critical component of our system, while allowing for rapid development of new technologies.
