This needle is designed like a trocar tip, a sharp, durable tip on a round body. It is recommended for fibrous tissues.

This needle has a square oval body providing increased resistance to bending and a triangular tip with reduced attack angles (i.e. reduced cutting edges). It is ideal for easier passage through fabrics.

This needle has an oval body that ends in a soft two-sided tapered tip. The cross section of the needle is slightly thinner than normal. The most common lengths range from 18 to 32 mm.

This needle has a sharper tip specifically designed to facilitate penetration through calcified cardiovascular tissue. Its square oval cross section gives it better resistance to bending.
