Biodentine is based on Septodont’s innovative Active Biosilicate Technology™ platform, and is the first all-in-one dentin substitute offering bioactivity and outstanding sealing properties to fully replace dentin, both in the crown and in the root wherever dentin is damaged.

Active Biosilicate Technology is a patented technology developed according to Septodont’s state-of-the-art pharmaceutical background applied to the high temperate ceramic mineral chemistry. Septodont controls every steps of material processing, starting from pure raw material and ending with C3S as the main ingredient of its proprietary raw material.

BioRoot RCS is the newest endodontic sealer based on tricalcic silicate materials benefiting from both Active Biosilicate Technology and Biodentine™. It is for permanent canal obturation bringing a real Paradigm Shift to the endodontic procedure. Thanks to no shrinkage (calcium silicate), and adapted fluidity it allows a 3D tight and durable sealing all along the entire length of the root canal without the need of any compaction procedure, it can achieve high seal without requiring to any complex warm technique.

Applied with a swab or a pellet, they are used to numb the area in the mouth where the dental work will be done. Used prior to a local anesthetic injection, they are an ESSENTIAL step in pain management. Surprisingly, they are not systematically used as some dentists want to save a little time. This act is the first in the patient‘s mouth and showing a caring behavior greatly contributes to the patient’s stress relief.
