The Sterimed endotracheal tube comes in two variants – Endotracheal Tube Cuffed and Endotracheal Tube Plain. The Sterimed endotracheal tube is made from non-toxic, non-irritant, medical grade clear PVC. The endotracheal tube, also known as the ET tube is used to maintain a patent airway and mechanically ventilate patients. The Sterimed endotracheal tube is kink resistant, thin-walled, thermo-sensitive tube, softens at body temperature.

The tube is coated with non-stick, self-lubricating Silicon elastomer ( Elastosyl) which forms a thin film on the surface. Elastosyl reduces the coefficient of friction by 80%, Reducing trauma significantly. Elastosyl coating forms a non-stick layer on the balloon preventing it from sticking to the trachea. Elastosyl offers a 100 % more bio-compatible surface to the tube and is much safer for the body. Low pressure high volume cuff provides excellent seal.
