FRED X offers the same precise, predictable placement andimmediate opening of the FRED™ device – now with X Technology. Derived from over 30 years of study and use at Terumo, X Technology is a nanoscale enhancement to the entire surface of the FRED device, formed with a covalent bond. Unlike other surface modifications, X Technology creates a protective hydration layer around the device that reduces platelet adhesion and simultaneously allows for endothelial cell attachment and growth.
