Tubular synthetic stockinettes are often used to maintain a layer of protection between the skin and a cast, or as a compression bandage for an injury. Tex Care offers synthetic tubular stockinettes that provide many of the same benefits as cotton stockinettes, but are made from 100% ring-spun polyester.

Cotton tubular stockinettes can be used as the “base layer” under a cast or multi-layered compression, and for mild compression to aid in wound care. Tex Care’s cotton stockinettes are 100% U.S. cotton, and are designed to protect the skin and provide comfort after an injury, as limbs swell, or to protect skin underneath a cast or bandage.

A bias cut stockinette is most often used in post-op, under casts, to treat wounds or burns, or as outer wraps over other dressings. Cotton bias stockinettes are absorbent and provide a greater level of comfort and support for patients. Bias stockinettes consist of a single layer of fabric, which better conforms to the shape of a limb.  All Tex-Care Medical bias stockinettes are made of 100% domestically grown cotton, and are manufactured both in the U.S. and abroad.
