Isoray’s Blu Build Intraoperative Loader is the first single-use, disposable device for modern brachytherapy exclusively using Cesium Blu seeds. Blu Build allows clinicians to build custom strands in real-time while in the operating room. Real-time stranding provides a flexible treatment solution for a variety of clinical approaches without a significant impact to procedural time. Now available for qualified clinicians.

Brachytherapy seed placement is critical for prostate cancer outcomes. Cesium Blu (Cs-131) paired with the Sirius® MRI Marker gives you a clear picture of every implant for highly precise prostate cancer treatment.

Isoray’s Cesium Blu Stranded or Loose Seeds can be preloaded into 18 gauge needles and placed into a shielded tray that may contain up to 14 needles. The needle tray doubles as a needle stand per the instructions provided in the package insert and is sterilized prior to being shipped. Preloaded needles are directly implanted into the treatment area, following the predetermined treatment plan. By preloading, several steps are removed in the operating room as the Cesium Blu sources are already positioned within the needle.
