The supporting fabrics for this fast setting synthetic casting bandage are knitted glass fibres which are evenly impregnated with polyurethane. Compared to usual plaster of paris bandages it shows severaladvantages: The increased air permeability prevents the skin from infection as well as itching and unpleasantsmell. The cast material is lighter and thinner which improves ventilation and healing. The final cast is approximately 20 times stronger than usual plaster of paris bandages and also waterproof. The stretching material allows a smooth and tight fitting of the cast. Due to its even surface TRO-EASYCAST is both comfortable to wear and kind to clothing.

Supporting fabric for this fast setting plaster of paris bandage is a gauze bandage BP type 17, which is evenly impregnated with a composition of pure, microcrystalline Calcium sulphate α- and β-Hemihydrate. This unique composition enables excellent modelling and ensures uniform and quick setting. The outstanding feature of the plaster of paris bandage lies within its shortened drying and hardening time with concomitantly increased stability, extraordinary durability and consistency.

The orthopaedic padding is manufactured from white, odourless woven cotton fibres or from a mixture of woven cotton fibres and thin non-woven polyethylene fibres. It is soft, light and provided with excellent ventilation features which guarantee maximum comfort during use and excellent padding of the cast in order to prevent the skin from itching and infection.
