In the TROKAMED company philosophy, the protection of the environment and resources represents an essential pillar of values. TROKAMED wants to avoid unnecessary environmental pollution and burden resources as little as possible.

As part of the integrated, holistic TROKAMED quality management system, we define goals for environmental and resource protection and monitor them at regular intervals. In addition, regular company inspections on the subject of environmental and resource protection take place.

This pronounced philosophy is strongly promoted by the owner and manager Karlheinz Tröndle, who acted as a forerunner and pioneer at an early stage.

Energy should always be used sparingly and is considered an equal criterion in all machine and construction projects. TROKAMED has been using an environmentally friendly heating and ventilation system for years. The energy-saving and environmental protection strategy that had been pursued up to that point by installing heat recovery in the ventilation system and a low-temperature heating system was consistently supplemented with a block-type thermal power station and an absorption cooling system.

The combined heat and power plant supplies electricity on the one hand and heat on the other. This waste heat can be used in two ways. Firstly, in the classic way for heating and secondly, using the absorption cooling system to cool the offices and using a cooling circuit to cool the machines. The real advantage of a combined heat and power plant is that the electricity generated is generated without additional gas costs and is CO2-neutral. This corresponds to a CO2 saving of approx. 72000 kg per year.

As a further expansion step, a photovoltaic system was recently installed, which supplies the heat for the operation of the absorption cooling system in summer.

In addition, we pay attention to the lowest possible environmental impact and avoid unnecessarily long logistics chains by preferring local suppliers.

Another example of our consistent sustainability strategy is the collection of rainwater to flush the sanitary facilities. In addition, means of production, sources of energy and materials are selected in such a way that their production and use pollute the air and water as little as possible.

When selecting materials, transport and disposal, we pay attention to the highest environmental standards, recyclability and secure disposal processes.

Residual materials are sensibly separated and sent for controlled recycling.

Means of production are purchased in such a way that their use causes little noise. Offices and production rooms are designed in such a way that there is a pleasant noise level. Means of transport are chosen in such a way that they do not cause an unnecessarily high noise level.
