Ortho-tertiary-butyl phenol aka 2 tert butylphenol is a chemical compound with a clear colourless and sometimes pale yellow appearance. It is a viscous liquid with a density of 0.982 at room temperature (approximately 20°C). It is often used as a basic raw material for antioxidants, fragrance compounds and various agrochemicals. Butyl phenol is used as an intermediate for flavours, fragrances, and antioxidant intermediates.

Iso butyl benzene or IBB is a colourless, respiratory irritant and flammable chemical compound with the molecular formula C10H14. It has a specific gravity of around 0.852. Another name for Iso Butyl benzene or IBB is 2-methyl-1-phenylpropene. It is manufactured out of toluene, propylene, methanol, potassium carbonate, sodium among other chemicals.
