The groundwater at a pharmaceutical industry site is contaminated with complex organic and inorganic pollutants. A Pump&Treat system is used to hydraulically secure the outflow and purify the groundwater. The treatment plant includes stripping for volatile pollutants, sand filtration for solids, activated carbon adsorption for organic pollutants and bioreactors for the degradation of ammonium and alcohols. A hall was built for the fully automated plant.
