Company History

Ruhof was founded in 1976 with the development of Protozyme, the first enzymatic detergent for surgical instruments, and Surgistain for refurbishing corroded stainless steel instruments. Today, our product line includes our Advanced Proteolitic Action enzymatic detergents, refurbishing products for instruments and autoclaves, lubricants, germicidal surface disinfectants, scope brushes and sponges, odor eliminators, betadine stain removers and more. Ruhof also announced the formation of Ruhof Healthcare, a national accounts contracting partnership dedicated to making it easier for GPOs, IDNs and individual healthcare customers to obtain Ruhof`s premium enzymatic detergents and a full line of instrument care products now being used by one in every five hospitals nationwide (from IMS market data).
