Announcing Project ATENEA: AI-Powered Digital Twins for Precision Cardiac Ablation
MADRID, Spain – March 2026 – Corify Care announces ATENEA, a project introducing real-time Digital Twin technology to the electrophysiology laboratory, enabling clinicians to simulate and optimize ablation strategies before intervention.
ATENEA represents Phase 2 of the Corify platform, focusing on AI-driven Digital Twin development to assist electrophysiologists in diagnosing and treating complex arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation (AF) and ventricular tachycardia (VT).
The Digital Twin capability relies on ultra-fast Global Cardiac Mapping to generate a patient-specific heart replica in minutes. This interactive model provides a comprehensive view of cardiac electrical activity and enables real-time strategy evaluation.
- Visualize the entire heart’s electrical activity in a single heartbeat
- Simulate different ablation strategies in real time
- Predict the success rate of the intervention before the first burn
The Digital Twin serves as a complement to catheter-based ablation. It is designed to integrate with existing hospital infrastructure and guide clinical teams toward optimized treatment pathways without replacing invasive catheters. The technology aims to reduce procedure times, minimize unnecessary lesions, and improve patient outcomes.
ATENEA project Grant 59.418069.9/25 is funded by Dirección General de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica, Consejería de Educación, Ciencia y Universidades, Comunidad de Madrid and Feder EU. We acknowledge our funding partners for supporting European medical innovation.
The ATENEA initiative reflects Corify Care’s ongoing efforts to advance precision electrophysiology through AI-powered digital twins.
