BC Platforms enhances data analytics capabilities with NVIDIA accelerated computing
BC Platforms has embedded NVIDIA accelerated computing into BC Mosaic, its trusted research environment, enabling faster GPU-powered analytics and AI-led analyses across clinical, multi-omics, and real-world data to support precision medicine and accelerated drug development.
NVIDIA integration in BC Mosaic
NVIDIA technology is now natively available within BC Mosaic, providing direct, out-of-the-box access to NVIDIA GPUs, NVIDIA Rapids, and other optimized NVIDIA data-science frameworks.
80x faster AI-driven analytics across multi-modal data
BC Mosaic can process complex multi-modal datasets up to 80x faster than traditional computing architectures and supports new analysis of existing data. The integration enables researchers to apply powerful AI and machine-learning techniques to federated datasets without moving or exposing sensitive information, helping protect data privacy and meet governance standards.
“NVIDIA integration enables users to process complex multi-modal datasets as much as 80 times faster than with traditional computing architectures while also supporting new analysis of old data,” said Keith Collier, Chief Product Officer at BC Platforms.
Performance validation in real-world research workflows
Simulations were conducted across large-scale trait datasets using NVIDIA T4 GPUs on AWS EC2 instances (G4). The workflows focused on population stratification using cuGRAPH and NetworkX for eigenvector analysis. cuDF and cuGraph methods were used to simulate community clustering analysis. An 80x improvement was observed in cuDF-based data processing compared with pandas-based CPU analysis. These use cases are typical for healthcare institutions and biopharma early-stage R&D and clinical trial analyses. Future collaboration efforts will extend NVIDIA tools within BC Mosaic for further testing with leading national healthcare institutes.
