Intelex and CAMH hit the hardwood for a great cause during NBA All-Star weekend!

On Friday, February 12^th, the Intelex Gives Back club officially launched partnership with Toronto’s Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). The CAMH Corporate Sports Challenge combined with athletes from Intelex provided CAMH clients with an opportunity to experience the fun and enjoyment of learning about and participating in organized sports – especially as teammates with corporate sports teams.

The clients had an opportunity to learn new skills and further develop skills they already possess. The event focused on a sense of belonging to a community and increase feelings of “normalization”. These events go a long way in helping everyone decrease the stigma associated with mental illnesses and further develop partnerships between CAMH and the community. The Intelex Gives Back club will be partnering with CAMH moving forward and will be involved in a number of events throughout the year.

CAMH improves the lives of those affected by addiction and mental health problems by providing access to appropriate and effective services. A client-centered practice dedicated to continuous learning, diversity, evaluation and accountability, holistic view of health, and partnership.
