The Adair Tenaculum Forceps is a scissor-like, grasping instrument that offers multiple benefits. Its principal use is to grasp and retract tissues to perform an endometrial biopsy, hysterectomy, tubal ligation and other procedures. For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of single-toothed, sharp tips that ensure strong fixation onto tissues. Moreover, the tips angle inward, which optimizes the degree of aperture. In addition, the slender shafts connect the boxlock to a ratchet system, which enables surgeons to self-lock the jaws when clamping.
