The Bariatric In-Situ Hammock Sling by Savaria is engineered for optimal support and comfort during the transfer of bariatric patients. It comes with innovative short or long tucks; the short tucks enhance the fitting by maximizing fullness at the back, whereas the long tucks cater to excess weight below the waist for enhanced fit. The robust femur support is ensured through full leg paddles made of easy-glide fabric. Extra inner leg pickup points facilitate precise positioning during transfers. This sling incorporates COOLMAX freshFX EcoMade fiber which offers moisture management and superior breathability, making it suitable for prolonged use upon risk assessment. Furthermore, its antimicrobial silver ion technology mitigates bacterial growth and odors, promoting a safe and hygienic environment. Constructed from 100% polyester Silva-Spacer fabric, it's tailored to wick away moisture, distribute weight evenly, and minimize pressure buildup. It is recommended to use a high-quality liquid non-biological detergent for maintenance.
Once the patient has been transferred, this sling can be left in-situ, subject to an appropriate risk assessment.
Short tucks on the back allow fullness in the sling’s main body, while long tucks provide additional support for excess weight below the waist, for a secure and comfortable fit.
