Based in Ronkonkoma, New York on Long Island, Qosina is a leading global supplier of more than 5,000 OEM single-use components to the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Our mission is to provide the best customer experience possible by helping our customers find, order and receive quality medical components quickly and accurately. We strive to understand your business needs and be your partner in growth. We support innovation by helping medical device engineers get their products to market faster and more efficiently by offering free samples, low minimums on orders, just-in-time delivery, modification of existing molds, and new product design and development.

Customers purchase from Qosina to eliminate the cost of tooling their own components. If you need an item that is not a stock product in our inventory, we will work to develop the part to your exact specifications. A slight alteration of an existing mold can be a cost-effective way to create a new part to meet your requirements. And we’re happy to assist companies of all sizes with projects of any scope.

We regularly produce a product catalog that is considered the authoritative resource for the medical OEM, bioprocessing and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for medical device engineers. What began as a four-page flyer nearly 40 years ago now includes an impressive 528 pages that feature thousands of stock components illustrated on a one-centimeter grid.

Qosina is ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 22301 and ISO 14001 certified and operates in a 95,000 square-foot, climate-controlled facility that includes an ISO Class 8 Clean Room.

OUR STORY

Like many great companies, Qosina got its start in the guest bedroom of an ambitious, hard-working entrepreneur’s home. In 1980, Stuart Herskovitz had a vision: to provide stock components to medical device and pharmaceutical companies and become a trusted partner to his customers, distributors and vendors.

Back then, Stuart was the senior vice-president at a small medical supply company that manufactured X-ray contrast media. That company owned six slide clamp molds, which it would run for a week and then have enough components to last for a year. The investment in the mold and the inventory of components essentially sat on the shelf and collected dust. Stuart went to the board and proposed the idea of selling the excess capacity. They said if he wanted to leave the company, he could sell their parts. So he ventured out on his own and founded Qosina. And the rest, as the saying goes, is history.
