FCI EZYPOR - High Density Polyethylene Orbital Implant
The EZYPOR orbital implant is an advanced ophthalmic device crafted from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). It is particularly designed for enucleation, evisceration, and secondary implantation procedures. The implant features a porosity range between 40% and 60%, facilitating the optimal colonization of fibrovascular tissues which is crucial for integration and healing. The anterior surface of the implant is smooth, equipped with eight suture tunnels enabling efficient needle insertion and muscle fixation, eliminating the need for an autologous graft. It is designed for single-use with specialized instruments like orbital sizers and a sphere introducer for optimal placement. Note that 12 mm and 14 mm versions do not include the suturing platform. This sterile medical device underscores ease of use and effectiveness in clinical environments.
EZYPOR is FCI’s ultimate high density polyethylene orbital implant with an innovative suturing platform featuring a smooth anterior surface and eight suture* tunnels. EZYPOR is gently inserted into the eye socket with a sphere introducer (S6.3050). The use of the FCI sizer set (S6.3060) to select the appropriate implant diameter is recommended for the best cosmetic result.
