Titan - Model SGS -Stapler
The Titan SGS stapler offers you an elegant alternative for performing sleeve gastrectomy. The device is designed to help you achieve more consistent and symmetrical sleeve pouch anatomy, setting your patients up for the best possible outcomes.
DISTAL HINGE Distal hinge houses the I beam knife prior to firing. The knife is pulled rather than pushed through tissue for reliability and speed. It does not return after the completion of the firing cycle.
NO TISSUE ZONE
No gastric tissue is permitted in this area.
23CM DEVICE JAW The industry’s longest continuous 23cm staple line eliminates the problem of malformed staples created with overlapping staple lines. Most gastric tissue can be easily placed along the entire length of the Titan SGS stapler jaws. Clamped tissue will be stapled and resected from the distal to the proximal end of the device. During clamping mode, Titan SGS is constantly assessing tissue thickness to ensure optimal stapling parameters are achieved during operation. Strongest jaw in the industry reduces the chance of stapler jaw deflection which can lead to malformed staples in tissue. (Source: Goodman. Multisite Study of Titan SGS Stapler in Longitudinal Gastric Resection. 2020.)
STAPLE HEIGHT INDICATORS Identifies the closed staple height (1.2mm to 2.2mm) along the entire length of the jaws of the device allowing the surgeons to position various gastric tissue thickness appropriately while respecting key anatomical landmarks.
NO TISSUE ZONE
No gastric tissue is permitted in this area.
23CM STAPLE CARTRIDGE
Longitudinal graduated stapling technology with localized tissue compression zones and larger anvil staple pockets ensure the strongest and most hemostatic staple line is being formed in gastric tissue. Six rows of staples with each successive vertical row being longer matching the entire length of the staple line more closely with the thickness of patient’s native anatomy. During firing mode, Titan SGS is constantly assessing tissue thickness to ensure optimal stapling parameters are achieved during operation.
PROXIMAL HINGE
Proximal and distal hinge improves efficiency of closure system, while improving alignment of the cartridge and anvil resulting in more reliable staple formation during the firing cycle.
HANDLE TRIGGER BUTTON
The trigger up-and-down button smoothly opens and closes the jaws of the Titan SGS stapler on gastric tissue in closure system mode. Once the device has entered firing mode, the down trigger will fire the device in approximately 55 seconds.
TITAN SGS HANDLE
Ergonomically designed pistol handle grip allows for effective balancing, manipulation and ease of firing during use.
FIRING SAFETY BUTTON
Safety buttons on both sides of the handle activate the firing system when the device is in closure system mode. Prior to entering firing mode, suboptimal tissue conditions can be assessed.
POWER PACK RELEASE TABS
Release tabs on both sides of the device when depressed will allow for the power pack to be removed. Manual mechanical bailout feature can now be engaged in case of device loss of power.
POWER PACK
Designed for easy removal in case of device loss of power to ensure the manual bailout system can be accessed.
