  • Reduction of abrasive wear: Surgical instruments with surfaces that are subject to abrasive wear benefit the most from a CERAMIX® coating. Cutting edges of scissors, kerrisons, rongeurs, curettes, etc. remain sharp for an extended time. CERAMIX® protects the jaws of needleholders and forceps- Surfaces like atraumatic DeBakey or Diamond Dust™ are improved and remain intact.
