Mac-BERT - Model Extir-Plants B350 -Tree Spade
The Extir-Plants B350 has 3 spades that descend almost vertically into the ground and 2 lateral lances who to cut the taproot of the plant descending down into the ground in an arc. They cross on the taproot working as a pair of scissors. The B350 realizes a truncated cone clods ranging from a minimum of cm.25/30 of superior diameter to a maximum of cm.45.
Being the clods as truncated cone, with every set of spades it’s possible to obtain clods shallower and then a diameter slightly inferior (es: the superior diameter of 27 cm applied in 25 cm in depth obtains a diameter superior of about 25 cm).
It has also been significantly reinforced to meet the needs of nursery-men operating in difficult terrain (like in Spain and in Sicily).
It can be done, with the use of only the lateral lances, very large clods (cm 120/150) in the shape of a half sphere. Of course we must be able to turn around the plant and plunge the lances 3/4 times in the soil. It’s suitable for shrubs, hedge plants and small trees.
