ReShape Lap-Band - Model 2.0 FLEX -Tubing System
The ReShape Lap-Band® 2.0 FLEX is an advanced gastric band system designed for weight loss in obese patients. It features a next-generation FLEX Tubing System that modulates intra-band pressure to improve the eating experience. The system acts as a reservoir that can expand to temporarily dilate the band stoma, facilitating food passage and reducing complications such as reflux, food obstruction, regurgitation, vomiting, and discomfort. After the food passes, the reservoir contracts to restore band pressure while maintaining satiety.

A simple, but effective solution for food obstructions
The FLEX Tubing System acts as a reservoir within the ReShape Lap-Band 2.0 FLEX. It can expand to hold extra saline out of the band cuff, allowing the band stoma to temporarily dilate and facilitate the passage of a food bolus through the band.
This temporary self-adjustment may reduce the potential for food obstructions and relieve the esophageal gastric pressure that is often associated with discomfort, regurgitation, or vomiting.
After the bolus passes, the slightly expanded reservoir will then contract back to its steady original state and push the saline back in the band cuff. Reverting the band cuff pressure back to its original state, pressure is maintained to ensure a satiety response
