After several years of award-winning research, we launched MoleScope in June 2015. Before, dermoscopes were often expensive and made solely for medical professionals. Our solutions provide higher quality imaging while remaining affordable and user-friendly for everyone.

MoleScope received widely positive feedback from doctors, patients, and businesses alike. After asking healthcare providers what was still missing, we discovered they needed tools that would improve efficiency and organization while connecting them to their colleagues. In 2016, we introduced DermEngine to provide just this.

DermEngine is the world’s most advanced data platform for imaging, analyzing and documenting skin conditions. It works seamlessly with MoleScope and other devices to help specialists diagnose skin problems better, evaluate treatment options and monitor their efficacy. Its revolutionary design provides seamless integration with current EMR/EHR systems and allows specialists to give first-class care with improved workflow and communication.

Our research and perseverance paid off when MetaOptima won the Wavefront Wireless prize of $40,000 in 2013, and the top prize at Coast Capital Savings Venture Prize competition in 2014. These awards, among many other recognitions by the medical and scientific community, encouraged us to continue working hard and making a difference in the lives of others.
